2014 NISSAN ROGUE REVIEW

When Car presented the Fake in 2007, customers did not expect a lot out of lightweight crossovers. Interiors were plastic, drive and managing were boring, and prices were affordable.
That market has grew up in the past serial years and now customers want more high-class, better managing, or both, and they are paying more for those features.
For 2014, Car is providing a Fake for both types of marketplaces. A remodeled Fake functions a higher quality internal and an improved price, while the last generation design carries on as alowpriced option. Is the remodeled design worth the extra money? We forced it to find out.
Model lineup
The 2014 Car Fake is provided in three cuts S, SV, and SL  each with front or all wheel generate. The S, which begins at $22,490, comes with a variety of standard functions, such as fabric furniture, a 6 way personally flexible motorist's chair, rearview observe, Wireless connection, AM/FM/CD stereo stations system, Nissan Connect infotainment program with 5-inch touch screen technology, and 17-inch metal wheels with wheel covers. The $24,230 SV contributes dual-zone automated heating and cooling, keyless access and starting, a 6 way energy motorist's chair, satellite tv stereo, automated front lighting, Nissan Connect Applications, ceiling tracks and alloy wheels. The $28,070 SL comes with set furniture, Bose 9-speaker sound program, Nissan Connect with routing and 7-inch touchscreen technology, around-view observe, warmed front side chairs and showcases, fog lighting, a energy back liftgate and 18-inch metal wheels.
Options are restricted to a choice of offers. A Family program for the S or SV versions comes with athird row chair and run-flat wheels. The Moonroof Package contributes a energy spectacular sunroof. The Premium package for the SV functions Nissan Connect with routing and 7-inch display, speech identification, real time weather and traffic, Sirius XM Travel Link, around-view observe, energy liftgate, sightless spot caution, lane leaving caution, moving item identification, and warmed outside showcases. A Top quality program for the SL gets the spectacular sunroof, LED front lighting with auto stabilizing, and the four safety detection systems.
Under the hood
The Fake functions one power train: a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder motor mated to a consistently variable automatic transmitting. The motor generates 170 horse power and 175 lb-ft of twisting. Environmental Protection Organization gas mileage scores are 26 mpg city/33 mpg road with front-wheel generate and 25/32 mpg with all-wheel generate.
The all wheel drive gram is front drive centered, delivering 100 percent of the energy to the top side wheels in normal visiting circumstances. When the program finds rim slide, a part of the energy can go to the rear wheels. The program also comes with effective track management, which uses the anti-lock braking mechanism program to brake the within wheels in changes to help the automobile move.Inner space
The Rogue's biggest durability is its flexible, high-quality internal. The components are a large phase up from the confident design. Actually, the Fake functions a soft-touch sprint, while the bigger, more expensive Pathfinder does not. Soft-touch areas can also be found on the arm rests, entrance includes and center console. The electroluminescent indicators are also elegant and eye-catching, but the headliner has a inexpensive, egg carton experience to it.
The front side chairs are also amazing. They're the same "zero gravity" chairs used in the Car Altima, and they provide higher levels of assistance and long-distance convenience than the Rogue's opponents. That's especially important because the chairs modify only six ways.
The second row provides enough for two and three will fit in a touch. The chair slips front and aft up
to six inches wide, so residents can select to increase legroom or freight space. Unusually, while the competitors have decreased their 7-seat choice, Car contributes an available third row for 2014. It's reasonably priced and involved in the Close relatives Package, but it's only useful for children. Plus, to allow enough space for anyone to be relaxed returning there, the first and second series have to be shifted on, limiting legroom for everyone.
Cargo area in the 2014 Fake includes out at 70 cubic legs in the 5-passenger settings with the second-row chairs down, and there is a useful 32 cubic legs behind the second row. Both of those
numbers are near the top of the category. Including the third-row chair takes away a bit of that area, leaving
only 9.4 cubic legs behind the returning row, but both the second- and third-row chairs flip smooth.
We suspicious most customers will select the 5-passenger edition, which is the most flexible thanks to the Divide-N-Hide freight program. It comes with two difficult ground items with a little bin beneath. The rearmost part can be installed top to bottom to better keep food in place, and the ahead part can be moved up to provide a display to individual freight. Cheers to Car for placing so much believed into cargo
flexibility. We're not so marketed on the believed Car put into connection. Like other techniques of its type, the new Nissan Connect program provides accessibility apps, but it goes a phase further. Moreover to the regular Google  search and The planet pandora and iHeartRadio Internet radio stations system apps, it hyperlinks to Facebook or myspace and Tweets. Actually, it shows your Facebook or myspace newsfeed, and flows it loudly through text-to-voice technological innovation. It also allows you respond with pre-specified reactions, and it can even discover friends and locations close by and help you navigate to them.
NissanConnect works quite well. The manages are uncomplicated and the program responds easily enough. In our viewpoint, however, it provides too much accessibility. Studying Facebook or myspace and Tweets up-dates on the center display is far too annoying and possibly risky. Some things are better left not reachable.
On the road
At its best, Car contributes a fantastic style to typical items. The Pathfinder is one such automobile, but the Rogue is not, which does not bode well for upcoming Car and Renault items on the Common Module Family system upon which the Fake is centered. The drive is generally relaxed, but managing is dull
and internal disturbance is challenging. While managing is somewhat carlike, the Fake has a propensity to understeer (push ahead rather than move when motivated difficult into a turn). That does not make the driving experience bad  it's just not fulfilling.
Nissan provides a program known as effective track management to help the automobile on its designed direction during aggressive techniques, but it's only slightly effective. It quantities to braking mechanism twisting vectoring that is applicable the inside braking system in changes to help the automobile move, but it can't get over the Rogue's natural propensity to understeer and it does not add any fun aspect. The guiding does not help, either. It's synthetically large but a bit slowly and it provides little street experience.
The disturbance problems are due to a mixture of drivetrain choice and not quite enough audio deadener. The Fake uses Nissan's 2.5-liter 4-cylinder motor mated to a consistently varying transmitting. This provides sufficient speeding, but it's not peppy enough. Car isn't estimating zero-to-60 mph figures, but it's likely in the 9.5- to 10-second range, which is a bit slowly for the category. Some competitors offer turbocharged 4-cylinder search engines that are significantly faster.
The CVT responds easily enough to tap into the restricted energy the Roque has, but with no set gear ratios it delivers the revs up great and keeps them there during speeding. The result is an motor moan that entrepreneurs may discover frustrating, especially when they've observed it for the umpteenth time. Ruts and bumps also cause failing appears to be.
Right for you?
The Car Fake achieves its objective quite well, but not much more. It provides good area for  five (or seven if need be), a flexible freight keep, great quality internal sessions and cash conscious gas mileage. That makes it a excellent choice for little family members, but the motor is noisy, the transmitting frustrating, and the driving characteristics less than fantastic. Clients who want those characteristics have other choices in an increasingly competitive category.
